Richard S. Williams

March 19, 1930 ~ January 28, 2011
Dick came to Monticello as an LDS Seminary teacher in 1978, and was there for six years. He brought his wife, Helen, and five little boys—Rick, Mark, Gary, Scott and Matt with him. Their only girl, Rebecca, was born in Monticello.
The older children have special and fun memories of playing in the hills of the Blue Mountain with neighbors and friends, of good teachers in Church and school, and just “plain growing up”.
Dick and I are better people because of you dear friends, neighbors. You were so much a part of our lives - we “banded” together to raise many children.
We cried together, laughed together, and “gathered” for fun. Thank you for being “you”.
Dick sang in church and community programs, quartets and solos and he and Helen performed piano duets together. He was in the community plays.
He loved the friends of the early-morning hours on the golf course. But the joy of his life was the dear seminary students—they learned together, biked and hiked together, early morning breakfasts and parties with food. They shared their feelings and their lives with one another. Dick so dearly loved each one of you, and as you come to “our” minds, we ask Heavenly Father to be with you and bless you.
Funeral services were held on February 5, 2011 in Cedar City, UT. Graveside services were held on February 7, 2011 in Heber City, UT under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
