Scott Weston Bayles

Scott Weston Bayles, 71, died peacefully at his residence with family by his side July 27, 2016.
He was born November 16, 1944 in Moab, UT a son of Scott Lyman and Delores Isabelle (Gravelle) Bayles.
While growing up in Utah, he enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, being out on the range, and doing cattle drives.
Scott was an accomplished athlete at San Juan High School in Blanding, UT, graduating in the class of 1963.
He enlisted in US Navy following graduation and proudly served his country for 30 years, retiring on August 5, 1993.
He founded Bayles Tours and Charter Bus Service and spent the next 25 years enjoying the many trips chartered and loved to joke, tease and talk with all his clients, especially the senior citizens.
His greatest love and joy in his life was his family. He met Vickie while he was stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station in 1985, and they were married in 1987.
Scott was a kind, generous and supportive figure to his family.
His words of encouragement or his sense of humor (and his laugh) would brighten anyone’s day, and he would always add “Can’t we all just get along”.
He enjoyed returning to the family reunions in Blanding, UT and visiting with family and friends, reminiscing and telling stories.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie, of Old Town; children Scott W. Bayles Jr (Allie) of New Mexico, Lori Tibbetts (Craig Thorne) of Milford, Butch Tibbets and (Melanie Martin) of Hudson, Duane Tibbetts of Bradley, Andrea` Corley and Aryn of TX, Chrissy Mueller (Micah) of OK; daughter-in-law Andrea Tibbetts of Old Town, ME; grandchildren Seth W. Bayles, Scottie W. Bayles, Robbie Ketch, Kaylee Tibbets, Brandon Michaud, Miyah Hall, Duane Tibbetts; siblings Jocelyn Johnson (Ferd) of Blanding, UT, Dwayne Bayles (Jill) of Central Valley, UT, Peggy Palmer (Vee) of Knav, UT, Dorothy Black (Dale) of St. George, UT, Joel Bayles (Debbie) of Blanding, UT, Mona Bayles of Salt Lake, UT, Georgia Black (Ed) of Blanding, UT; many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a brother, Dwight, and his parents.
Friends and family will gather from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 5 at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St, Old Town, ME.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, in Old Town, ME.
Burial with full military honors will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. All are invited to return to the Holy Family Parish Center for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
