Seth David Boyd May 25, 1977 ~ August 18, 2025
Seth David Boyd, born May 25, 1977 at home in Redondo Beach, California to Philip and Charmaine Boyd, was a 16-year resident of Dove Creek, Colorado until his unexpected passing on August 18, 2025 at the age of 48 in Dove Creek.
Seth was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Yvonne Boyd of 25.5 years. He grew up living in Redondo Beach, graduated from Redondo Unified School District, and afterward entered the United States Army, serving honorably from 1995 to 2009, which included two tours in Iraq.
After his time in the military, Seth and his wife, Yvonne, relocated to Dove Creek to be closer to his family. Seth was a loyal employee of RW Trucking in Cortez for 16 years.
When not at work, Seth enjoyed spending his free time at his property, on the old family farm, at Summit Point in Monticello, Utah, where he often took long walks, explored the back roads on his ATV, and simply enjoyed the quiet time watching old movies in his cabin.
He also enjoyed time on the family shooting range with his brother, Ethan. Seth was an adventurous man who loved exploring, seeing new places, and taking long motorcycle rides. When possible, he took his beloved dog, Boone, with him, as his sidekick.
Boone enjoyed those bike rides and long walks with him. Seth was also a lifetime student of Shepard’s Chapel in Gravette, AR, and his all-time favorite gospel was those sung by Elvis Presley. He was a man of faith and had a deep love for his Heavenly Father.
Seth is survived by his wife, Yvonne Boyd (Dove Creek, CO), his best bud and dog, Boone, his mother, Charmaine Boyd (Monticello, UT) and siblings: Laverna Brown (Sacramento, CA), Athena (Douglas) Spigner (Monticello, UT), Elena (Dana) Huskey of (Dove Creek, CO), Eric Boyd (Dove Creek, CO), Ethan (Athena) Boyd (Dove Creek, CO), Jonathan Boyd (Buckeye, AZ), Rebekah (Cameron) Braveheart (Montrose, CO), and Joshua Shepard (Monticello, UT). He is also survived by his Uncle Charles (Julie) Boyd (Monticello, UT) and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Seth is proceeded in death by his father, Philip H. Boyd (Monticello, UT), nieces, Ayla M. Boyd and Anastasia F. Braveheart, and nephews, Landon D. Spigner, Joseph A. Spigner, Lamar Gasaway.
Although Seth Boyd’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit, having touched so many lives, will continue to live in the memories and hearts of his wife, his family, and his friends. While earth grieves for its loss, heaven rejoices for its gain.
