Shirley Butt Winter Ensle

Shirley Butt Winter Ensle, beloved mother, sister and friend passed away on December 26, 2013 after a long illness.
Shirley was born March 14, 1935 in Moab, UT to Harold W. Butt and Susan Lyman, the middle child of seven. Blanding was her home.
Shirley had a very full and active life. She was happiest while making others happy. She was known for her comic relief and costumes and was always the life of any gathering.
Shirley married Wilbur (Bill) Benson Winter in 1955 (later divorced). They had five children. During the years when her children were young, their family lived in Indiana, New York and Washington. She and the children moved back to Blanding in 1973. In 1978 she married Richard (Dick) Ensle. Dick passed away in 1988.
Shirley was known for her hard work ethic, good humor and her service and kindness toward others.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters; MarJean Standish and Julianne Fellmeth.
She is survived by her children: Armand Winter of Monticello, UT; Angela (Duke) Heaton of Orem, UT; Andrea Winter of Farmington, NM; Amy (Mike) Beliveau of Mapleton, UT; Adrienne (Jake) Winter of Hurricane, UT; sister Sharon Shumway; brothers Lynn Adams, Kermit (Virginia) Blake and Curtis (Shirley) Blake; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were January 4, 2014 in Blanding, UT. Interment at the Blanding City Cemetery.
The family thanks the staff of the Four Corners Care Center for their years of service.
