Taylor Dean Palmer

April 10, 1949 ~ July 29, 2019

Taylor Dean Palmer was born April 10, 1949 in Monticello, UT to LaVan (deceased) and Clyda Palmer. Taylor was the second of seven siblings and grew up in Blanding.

From 1968-1970 he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland.

When he returned, he attended Utah Valley State College and became a Licensed Contractor.

While there, he met Jenice Moses, and they were married in the Manti Temple June 22, 1971.

Taylor went on to start up his own business, Taylor Made Wooden Heritage, specializing in carpentry and cabinetry.

Taylor had many interests and taught himself to make knives, jewelry, metal castings, intricate wood carvings, and many other beautiful works of art.

He also spent a lot of his time as a youth leader in the church and was known for his creativity and willingness to share his talents with the kids.

Taylor and Jenice have six children, all of whom were married in the temple; 27 grandchildren; one great-grandson and one more on the way.

Taylor and Jenice have been workers at the Monticello Temple for the past five years.

Taylor was devoted to his family and loved his church and community.

After a short battle with pancreatic cancer, Taylor passed away in his home on July 29 surrounded by his loved ones.
