Quilt raffle for July 4th

This beautiful hand appliquéd quilt will be on someone’s bed after the 4th of July -- it could be yours!
The Grayson Country Quilters have created beautiful quilts for more than 30 years, with winners scattered throughout the county.  Tickets can be purchased at Clarks Market Wednesdays or Fridays through July 1, $3 each or two for $5.  Proceeds help supplement service projects and training through the next year. The guild also organizes the 4th of July quilt show each year, which takes lots of manpower and time.
The guild’s main efforts this past winter have been to make quilts, pillow cases, aprons, and other crafts which will be donated to Festival of Trees this coming winter which is the main fundraiser helping Primary Children’s Hospital.  All proceeds go directly to the hospital.
Hundreds of families in San Juan County have been recipients of medical help from PCH because of the generosity of others.
In past years, the guild has donated baby blankets to Blue Mountain Hospital and San Juan Hospital.
Kline and Diane Carroll’s family has several experiences where their children received help from PCH.
“Katilyn had surgery to remove a kidney stone the day before her seventh birthday. And Eldon had his appendix removed because he swallowed a metal pick and it lodged in his appendix.”
Hollie Davis Warner’s son had severe burns from a campfire accident, last year, and he spent many weeks receiving care from Primary Children’s.
Almost every neighborhood in town knows of a family or child who has received quality care from Primary Children’s Hospital.
There will be a display at the quilt show showing some of the items made by local quilters to help raise funds for this good cause.
