Latest ballot release shows change in Blanding City Council race

The latest release of ballots are providing more clarity on the results of November 4 municipal elections in Monticello and Blanding.
The San Juan County Clerk's office estimates about 50-70 ballots could be cured and counted including provisional ballots with an additional vote update anticipated on Monday.
Two seats are up for grabs on the Blanding City Council.
Chad Moses remains the top vote earner with 389 votes, Jesse Grover has surpassed Bret Hosler in the latest release of votes with Jesse Grover now receiving 328 votes to Hosler’s 303 with Erik Merlin Grover receiving 291 votes.
In the Monticello Mayoral race Kevin Dunn has grown his lead, which was down to six votes after Wednesday. Dunn has received 258 votes to Incumbent Mayor Bayley Hedglin’s 242 votes.
The Monticello city council has two seats open.
The top vote earner continues to be Shane Brewer with 309 votes, with Todd Westcott earning 297 votes, Tanner Holt with 223 and Pamela Pearson-Fuller with 124.
Trevor Olsen has been elected Mayor of Blanding with 601 votes.
In Bluff, there was not a contested race but there will be three new elected officials, including Mayor Josh Ewing and Town Council members Spencer Wade and Gary Haws.
