Clerk/Auditor Candidate: Lyman Duncan

Hello county residents, my name is Lyman Duncan, and I am running for the San Juan County Clerk/Auditor Office.
For the past 22 years, my wife and I have had the privileged of raising our three sons in this beautiful part of rural Utah. Most family outings were spent in the nearby mountains and desert of our picturesque county.
I will always be grateful for the people and relationships that we have formed through my employment, sports, and other community activities.
Before accepting my current position as County clerk, I worked for San Juan Health District and Utah Navajo Health System.
My professional experiences at both organizations have only added value to what I can offer.
For almost 14 months, I served as the County Clerk, and I learned this position plays three vital roles in serving the greater county community.
First, in coordination with the Clerk/Auditor staff, prepare and facilitate federal, state, and county elections.
Second, the responsibility for the annual budget and year-end financial audit.
Third, to communicate closely with the Assessor and Treasurer’s office for the completion of the annual property tax function.
After 14 months of serving in the Clerk/Auditor’s Office, I can say without a doubt that “experience matters” in this key office.
I have the experience and I want the opportunity to continue to serve the county.
Soon, the ballots will be mailed, and I ask for your vote.
Thank you, Lyman.
