Head Coach Barkley Christensen: “When it comes to talking about Remy, I have always said he is one of the hardest workers I have ever coached. He loves the game of football and he understand the ins and outs of what it takes to be a great offensive lineman. Remy and his dad spent countless hours in the offseason lifting, training, and traveling around the country to various camps, all in pursuit of becoming the best player he could be.
“When Remy puts his mind to something he will go all out. He is by far one of the most technical linemen I have ever coached. He didn’t just want to know what he is supposed to do on any given play; he wanted to fully understand why we were running certain plays and he wanted to understand the full picture of each play. His mind and work ethic definitely make up somebody who is a college-level lineman. He has been so fun to coach and we will miss him greatly next season.
“Remy played a huge role in why our team was able to set rushing records this year, and why we averaged 54 points per game. He finished the year with 21 pancake blocks. I can’t wait to watch him in his next stage of life because I know he will be great wherever he is. Remy is a natural born leader and helped set the pace for our team. He is fun, outgoing, and makes friends wherever he is. Congratulations on First Team All-State, Rem!”
