Head Coach Barkley Christensen: “Nache was such a fun player to coach. He showed up each and every day ready to work and did everything we asked of him. Nache proved to anyone that you don’t have to be six feet, 200 pounds to be an amazing football player. He is as coachable of a kid as I have seen. Nache was behind two All-State slot receivers his junior year and didn’t get to play as much as he probably should have. He was a never a victim in that situation and never complained. He continued to work and had a massive senior year for us.
“Nache started on both sides of the ball and contributed greatly. He had some of the most memorable plays of the season. He finished his senior year of defense with three interceptions and 34 tackles. He was a lockdown corner for us all season long. On offense he had 380 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
“I think the favorite touchdown of the season among all the players and coaches was Nache’s 80-yarder in the state game with just over a minute left before halftime where he juked a player out of his shoes then sprinted away for the dagger TD. We are going to miss Nache and his leadership greatly next season. We are sure proud of him and know he is going to go on and do great things. Congratulations, Nache!”
