Alex Marian 1A State Track Monticello Freshman 4x400 Meter Relay State Champion

Head Coach Jeff Hunt: “Alex, along with Lariah O’Harra, accomplished something that just does not happen very often. In my 22 years at MHS, only two other Buckaroo freshmen have made it to the top of the podium.
“Ariana Reay and Macee Nielson wound up winning a combined 15 state titles, so it would be awesome if these two can come anywhere close to what those other girls accomplished.
“Alex is deceptively fast and deceptively competitive. She does well in whatever events in which she competes. She is fun to watch and all the other girls love what she brings to the team.”
