Head Coach Krieg Adair: “Arturo is a disciplined, hardworking athlete and someone the underclassmen truly look up to. Arturo really elevated his offensive performance this season and scored a lot of points. He led the team in match points scored with 423 and was especially good on his feet, scoring 70 takedowns.
“After being defeated in the state semifinal match and dropping into the consolation bracket, Arturo showed tremendous resilience by battling back to take third place. That is a very difficult thing to do mentally, and we are very proud of his determination to do so. Arturo is a two-time state finalist and a three-time state placer.
“We are already looking forward to next season with eager anticipation to see what he writes as the final chapter of his high school career. We believe it will be one to remember.”
