Head Coach Nathan Chamberlain: “Despite battling a case of food poisoning (not talking about nerves), Cambree powered through to finish sixth at state. Her resilience and upbeat nature made her the glue of the team; she was always encouraging and always kind.
“A solid player with a steady swing, Cambree proved you can shine even when the stomach and weather says otherwise.
“As the quiet leader of the team, Cambree included the next generation of golfers for MHS, whether at practice or in a match. Her inclusiveness brought her confidence that she could tap into when the elements and trials turned against her.
“As her coach and father it was emotional to watch her struggle through the front nine at the state course. Fitting for her resilience, Cambree shot the best back-nine of the tournament, proving she has learned how to overcome the obstacles we face.”
