Head Coach Krieg Adair: “If there’s one word that defines Landon’s wrestling career, it’s perseverance. Landon endured many challenges, setbacks, and injuries throughout high school. When he entered The Room for one last ride this season, he did so knowing it would be his final chance to finish on the podium at the state tournament.
“Day after day he kept grinding and he kept believing. He stayed relatively healthy throughout the season and had a lot of success on the mat. He wrestled really well in the postseason, which ultimately led to a third-place finish at the state tournament. Even after a tough loss in the semifinals, Landon never faltered and finished the task of earning his state medal.
“Beyond the results on the mat, Landon was an outstanding leader for our team. He brought effort, toughness, and consistency to The Room every day and set a standard for his teammates to follow. He is a tough competitor, and we’re incredibly proud of Landon and the person he is. We will miss having him in The Room next season.”
