Coach Ivan Mack: “Seth is one of a kind. He is extremely bright and just an overall great humble student athlete. He is always good natured, funny, and kind to all those around him. He brightens up a room and makes it hard to not be in a good mood when you are around him. One of the most beloved things about Seth is that he is both willing and able to do what is asked of him. Without hesitation, he participates in a number of activities and clubs in the school.
“Seth is the 2025-2026 FBLA President-Elect. He would likely be described by his peers as a kind good friend. He is reliable and works hard in and out of school. On top of all that he is one of the top hurdlers in the state in both the 110 meter and 300 meter, where he finished tenth and fourth respectively at the state meet. He was also a key figure in the third-place state finish in the 4x400 relay. My life is better because of the time I have spent working with Seth Taylor.”

Kooper Nielson

Head Coach Jeff Hunt: “Kooper does it all. He is great on the golf course, the baseball diamond, the basketball court, and the cross country course. This year, he decided to add track to his resume. He was our 400 meter specialist and he also did a great job in the 300 hurdles where he was a region medalist and state finalist.
“Kooper expects excellence from himself and helps those around him to do their best. It is often hard to keep that much going when you do everything, but if anyone can handle it, Kooper can. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, he is also a student body officer, an officer for the National Honor Society, and a community leader as well.”

Aaron Gillette

Head Coach Jeff Hunt: “Aaron is simply one of the all-time Monticello High School heroes. Not only is he a great student but he is a determined athlete as well. When he first started on the track team, I wasn’t sure where he would be best suited. It turned out that anywhere you put him, he was going to try his hardest and that is success in its own right.
“Earlier this year at SUU, we put together our 4x400 team and Aaron once again shocked us coaches by earning his spot by sure grit. I am always in awe of what Aaron has accomplished despite all the challenges he has faced in his life.”

Coach Ivan Mack: “Jaeden is one of the best and most unsuspecting athletes you will ever come across. He has a quiet, reserved nature but when you see him in action competing he is anything but that. He has blazing speed, is exceptionally skilled, and is a bold competitor with a desire to win. He is a multi-sport athlete, participating in four different sports this year (football, basketball, baseball, and track).
“In the classroom Jaeden is dedicated ad knows his purpose. He is someone other kids find easy to follow. He was a top finisher in the 100 meter (eighth place) and 200 meter (fifth), and was a critical first leg on the state champion 4x100 relay team. In and out of the classroom Jaeden demonstrates special qualities and most importantly he is a good friend to many. It’s been a great pleasure for me to work with Jaeden Camacho this year.”
