Broken I outlasted the Peanut Butter Falcons to win the 2024 Shane Warenski Memorial Midnight Madness Softball Tournament championship during the Blanding Fourth of July Celebrations in the early-morning hours of Thursday, July 4.
Broken I became the first new Midnight Madness champion since 2017 when local dynasty Diamond C Fuels took the year off after winning seven straight titles in the annual event.
It didn’t come easy. Broken I lost to the Peanut Butter Falcons in the first semifinal, then beat a tough but young War Ponies 2.0 team in the second semifinal.
They faced off against the Peanut Butter Falcons again in the championship round and had to beat them two more times to take home the title.
