Bronco golf, soccer closing out seasons

The San Juan High School boys golf team closed out their season at the 2022 2A Utah State Golf Championship on October 5 at the Mountain View Golf Course in West Jordan.
The team shot a 470 in the first round and was unable to make the cut to advance to Day 2.
Jett Johnson led the Broncos. He shot 102 on the day. Cooper Yoakam was next with 116 and Xavier Hancock finished with 124.
Kaleb Johnson carded 128 for San Juan, Kavan Harris shot 131, and Lachlan Lacy rounded out the team performance with 141.
The San Juan girls soccer team put the regular season in the rearview mirror with a tough 8-0 loss to South Sevier in Blanding on Thursday, October 6.
The Broncos finished 15th in the 2A ranks. They hit the road to take on #2 Rowland Hall Winged Lions on Wednesday, October 12 in the first round of the state tournament.
Rowland Hall comes into the match with a 9-5 record and won eight of their last nine to close out the regular season. They’ve outscored their opponents 57-27 this year with five shutouts.
San Juan is looking to shock the 2A girls soccer world and secure a huge upset when they kick it off at 4 p.m. this Wednesday in Salt Lake City.
