Broncos finish sixth in boys golf region championship

It’s hard to believe but the San Juan High School boys golf team has already begun their postseason. The Broncos finished in sixth place in the Region 18 Championship on Monday, September 21.
The region title match was played at the Palisade Golf Course in Sterling, UT and San Juan combined to shoot a 369 team score, slightly above their team season average.
Korver Perkins paced the Broncos with a round of 85. Mason Lyman came home two strokes behind his teammate with a season-best 87.
Wyatt Ivins cracked the century mark with a 97-stroke performance. Ryan Wilcox carded a 100 even, Maks Perkins shot 104, Trace Bilbao scored 116, and Boston Black hit 123.
Prior to their trip to Sterling San Juan closed out their regular season with a round at the Cove View Golf Course in Richfield on Tuesday, September 15.
The Broncos shot a 344 as a team for their third-best round of the season. Korver Perkins got his best performance of the year with a 4-under-par 76.
Maks Perkins shot an 86 to finish second for the team. Mason Lyman carded an 88, which at the time matched his season best before he topped that score in the region championship.
Ryan Wilcox scored 94 in Richfield to round out the top four individual scores for San Juan. Andrew Moses came in with a 95 for the round, Wyatt Ivins hit 102, Boston Black carded a 109, and Trace Bilbao got a 112.
The Broncos will play a practice round at the Green River Golf Course on Thursday, October 1. The 2026 2A Utah State Boys Golf Championship is set for October 7-8 at the Meadow Brook Golf Course in Taylorsville.
