Broncos top small school team at Park City Twilight

The San Juan High School cross country team opened the season with a twilight run on August 20 in Park City, running against many of the top teams in the state of Utah.
The Broncos were paced by senior Platte Lyman, who finished the 5K race in 17:28. Close on his heels were three other Broncos who all finished within eight seconds of Lyman.
They include Cannon Kartchner with a time of 17:30, Keegan McCullough in 17:32, and Jeraden Hurst in 17:36.
Other Broncos scoring points were Jack Kartchner, Peter Lyman, and James Gosney.
Overall, the Bronco boys finished in seventh place, the highest finish by small schools.
On the girls side, Sincere Nez led the Lady Broncos. The senior covered the course in 21:17 and was 37th overall.
She was followed by Ada Lyman, Harmony Oshley, and Eihaazbah Dejolie.
This week the San Juan cross country teams head to Spanish Fork for the UIAAA Invitational on August 29.
