At the end of a hard-fought day of wrestling, the Buckaroos finished in second place behind Altamont. As a team they qualified all 11 wrestlers for the state tournament.

Finishing with strong second-place medals were Ronnie Harris, Tyson Wheeler, Chandler Henderson, Javlin Robison, and Tavon Black.
In the semifinal round, Harris earned a win by fall and Wheeler earned a close 6-4 win over teammate Zac Thayn. Both Buckaroos were defeated by fall in the finals.
