Head Coach Jens Nielson: “Talon is very skilled with his fundamentals. He has put in countless hours with his dad and on his own to refine the craft. He is a quiet leader who loves the game, loves his teammates, and has a great desire to be a great ball player.
“Everything he has received with his excellent season, including First Team All-State, he has 100 percent earned. He is so respectful and just a joy to coach and we will miss having him around next year.”

This year was so much fun to coach and these players were at the core of why it was successful and why it was so much fun. Each one of them could have easily made First Team All-State. They are dynamic players whose impact will be hard to replace.
From what we gathered from the data available, this year’s squad set a San Juan High School record for home runs in a season with 27. The group of five All-State boys led the charge, contributing 21 of those 27 blasts, with the other two seniors – Brody Bilbao and Jaiten Knight – hitting the other six.
Those are impressive numbers from some very good baseball players. We wish you guys the best of luck. This season will always be one of the highlights of my coaching career. Congratulations, boys!
