Marlee Mack
1A FIRST TEAM | MHS Senior Outside Hitter
185 Kills, 457 Passes, 2.74 Passing, 434 Digs
Head Coach Janna Sandefur: “Marlee is an explosive piece of dynamite. She is a go-to player and mentor to all her teammates and even her coaches. She is a dedicated athlete who believes one should prepare themselves for any sport they play.
“Marlee is an example of nutrition and conditioning as well as skill and determination. She was our MVP for the season. She was one of our top servers with a 97 percent serving rate. Her back-row passing rate was a 2.74 out of three, which was spot-on and led to the success of several others. When she was on the back row she rarely let anything hit the floor with over 434 digs.
“Marlee is only 5’6” and can jump out of her socks. When one stands on the other side of the net from her they might overlook her until she unleashes. It was always an amazing moment as a coach to watch the surprise from the other team when Marlee got ahold of the ball. She had a 28 percent kill average with 185 kills.
“Marlee was a mentor to all and was a leading factor as our team captain. I will miss her work ethic. It was a driving factor for all of our younger girls.”
