Head Coach Mike Bowers: “Lizzie Palmer was the most improved player for San Juan Softball this year. Lizzie is very talented but self doubt hindered her in the past.
“She was a four-year starter, but there is no doubt this year was her best. She learned how to push down her self doubt and trusted her process and talent.
“She was an exceptional left fielder and a consistent threat at the plate. I’m so proud of her improvement and believe she will achieve great things in the future.
“All of the San Juan All-State athletes will tell you they couldn’t have done so well without a great group of teammates. They will forever hold a special place in my heart. They are exceptional players, but better human beings. I’m so proud of them and all of their teammates for a special season. We didn’t win it all but I wouldn’t trade any of them for any other team or player.”
