Head Coach Jay Jones: “We have been very fortunate to have Javin on our team. He is a very motivated person who gives everything he has to the activities he participates in.
“Javin has been a captain for our team for the last two years and is a great leader because he not only encouraged his teammates to do their best, but always led by example and gave everything he could to the team. He also knows how to make things fun, even in stressful game situations.
“Javin joined the team in his sophomore year. All three years he played he was our goalie and was amazing at it. He had an astounding 402 saves over those years, averaging 134 per year. This past season he had two games with no goals in regulation. He also had two saves in a penalty shoot-out we had against Millard.
“Javin’s knowledge of the game was great and his desire to get better was as well. He will be greatly missed as he is a natural leader and all around great person.
“Currently Javin has been finishing up a pharmacy tech education program and is leaving soon to serve a mission in Luanda, Angola, Africa for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints starting on July 21. It will be great to see where life takes him. He will do amazing!”
