Head Coach Nathan Chamberlain: “Another four-year competitor and two-sport athlete for the Buckaroos was Jackson Keyes, who admittedly has played more rounds at the Hideout than most high school players have. He has spent many summers learning from the resident golfers who have invited him to play in their rounds on early mornings.
“During the rounds Jackson was never a golfer who let emotions get in his way of the game. His level-headed ‘I am going to par the next seven holes’ was proof that the last double bogie was in the past and let’s look forward to the next holes.
“Always smiling and the even keel of a determined athlete, Jackson has been a vital part of the team for the past four years. A disappointing score to finish his high school career was not to interfere with the all-important question he asked as he finished his last round as a Buckaroo: ‘Where are we going to eat?’”
