Lady Raiders go 3-1 at Chinle tournament

The Whitehorse girls basketball team closed out 2025 in Chinle. The Raiders went 3-1 in round robin play at the Southwest Food Excellence Winter Classic.
Whitehorse opened tournament play on Friday December 19 losing a game to the Navajo Prep Eagles.
Whitehorse was led in the game by Keiarra “Kerri” Martin who scored 39 points. Hannah Clark added two, while Maria Yellowman and Lakyara Begay each scored one.
Kaleigh Chee led the team securing seven rebounds, while Begay had five and Martin four.
Clark led the team with five assists. Begay had three steals while Clark and Martin had two steals. Clark also recorded two blocks in the game.
Whitehorse bounced back that day earning a 50-36 victory over Red Mesa.
Clark and Martin each had 13 points in the game while Yellowman scored 12. Chee scored six while Begay scored four and Malia Sam scored two. Martin led the team with nine rebounds, Begay and Chee had four boards. Martin also led the team with six assists while Clark had three. Martin had 11 steals and two blocks as well.
The Raiders kept the wins rolling on Saturday starting the day with a 34-30 win over Chinle.
Martin once again led the team with 16 points while Begay had six and Chee had five. Clark scored four and Yellowman had three. Clark and Chee each had eight rebounds while Begay had seven. Clark also led the team with four assist while Martin recorded eight steals.
The Raiders closed out the weekend with a win over Mountain View 44-33.
Martin led the team with 17 points while Clark poured in 16. Begay had five, Chee four and Shylann Hamm added two points. Begay pulled in nine rebounds and Martin had five. Clark led the team with six assists while Martin had four. Clark also led the team with six steals with Martin grabbing five steals.
The Raiders are next in action with a rivalry game on January 7 in the Battle of the Drum in Monument Valley.
