Monument Valley seniors represent in All-Star game

Shimequa Hudson (left) and Precious Bedonie (right) represented Monument Valley in the Utah Girls Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game at North Sevier High School in Salina on Saturday, March 16. The Lady Cougar standouts played for the 1A All-Star team which dominated the 2A team in a game that was decided by quarters. The 1A won game one 23-20, game two 32-10, game three 22-21, and game four 29-8. In addition to the success of the players, Monument Valley Head Coach Terri James was honored as Region 19 Coach of the Year at the event. James led her team to a fourth-place finish in the 1A Utah Girls State Basketball Tournament on March 2.
