Monument Valley wrestling in full swing

The Monument Valley boys and girls wrestling seasons are well underway.
The Monument Valley girls finished fifth at the Paul Williamson Memorial tournament in Parowan and 14th at the Panguitch Invitational.
The Monument Valley girls are led by Junior Aiyana Parker who has a 10-2 record on the season with all ten wins coming by pin. Aiyana finished second at Parowan and fifth at Panguitch. Not far behind is freshman Priseis Parker with a 7-3 record with all wins coming by pin as well.
Priseis finished first at Parowan and fifth at Panguitch. Sophomore Summer Atene has also had a great start with a 7-2 record with four wins by pin, and three by technical fall.
Atene finished second at Parowan and third at Panguitch. Junior Keturah Whitehorse has a 4-2 record with four pins and finished fifth at Panguitch.
Sophomore Nay`Myia Morgan has a 6-5 record with all wins coming by pin. She finished ninth at Panguitch and third  at Parowan. Also putting in good mat time and improving was sophomore Zaira Holiday. 
The Monument Valley boys wrestling team finished 13th at the Paul Williamson Memorial tournament in Parowan 
The boys team is led by Kye Amy. The junior boasts a 10-3 record with eight of those wins coming by pin, and two by tech fall.
Amy finished second at the JV Panguitch Invitational and fifth at a tournament in Parowan. Fellow junior Owen Clark also has a record of 8-2 on the year. With all eight wins coming by fall. Clark finished first at the JV Panguitch Invitational and tenth in Parowan. 
Junior Jace Tsosie has an 8-6 record on the season with all eight wins coming by pin. Tsosie also finished second at the JV Panguitch Invitational and fifth at the Parowan tournament.
Junior Derwin Hulligan earned an exciting decision win earlier this season. Also putting in time and improving has been Aven Grandson and Jarret Hunt for the Cougars.
The Monument Valley wrestling teams will close out the 2025 portion of their schedule at the Veterans Memorial Tournament December 19-20 in Fort Defiance, AZ.
