Raiders stretch strong start to three straight wins at Homecoming

The Whitehorse High School football team continued a strong start to the 2025 season with their third straight win this past Friday, September 12.
The Raiders cruised past Utah Military Academy Hill Field 44-2 in front of a happy Homecoming crowd at the Whitehorse High School football field in Montezuma Creek.
It’s the first time since the 2008 season that Whitehorse has started the year with three straight wins. In 2008 the team was playing an independent schedule.
This season they have beaten three Utah 8-player teams to start while outscoring them 126-46 along the way.
In the game this past Friday senior quarterback passed for 249 yards and three touchdowns. He was 8-for-12 on the night.
Senior running back Lance Tsinigine carried the ball 14 times for 139 yards and two scores. Sophomore Hunter Tsinigine had a strong night as well, rushing for 84 yards and one TD on ten carries.
Junior Adam Joe led the Raider receivers with 138 yards on just four catches and two touchdowns. Senior Elam Etcitty caught two passes for 85 yards and one TD.
Caidyn Lansing and Lance Tsinigine led the Whitehorse defensive effort with ten tackles apiece. In the win. Adam Joe had nine stops, including two sacks, and Aiden Hamm collected eight, including one sack.
On the season Tristan Black is a very impressive 27-for-38 for 756 yards and nine touchdowns. Adam Joe has 15 catches for 466 yards and two touchdowns. Elam Etcitty has five receptions for 137 yards and one TD.
Lance Tsinigine leads the rushing attack with 35 carries for 294 yards and four touchdowns. Hunter Tsinigine has 239 yards on 31 carries with three TDs. And Black has 223 yards on 25 carries from the quarterback position with one score.
Joe has 26 total tackles to lead the Raider defense this season, including three sacks and four tackles for loss. Caidyn Lansing has tackled 22 opposition ballcarriers with one sack and two tackles for loss.
Lance Tsinigine has collected 18 tackles on the season, two of which are for loss. Aiden Hamm and Tristan Black have 13 stops apiece with two tackles for loss each as well.
The Whitehorse defense has three takeaways so far this season. Dillion Leo, Tristan Black, and Tristan Tohtsonie all have one interception apiece.
The Raiders are 3-0 on the season and are ranked first in the Utah 8-player standings which were released on September 15 by the Utah High School Activities Association.
They’re looking for their fourth straight win when they host the Water Canyon Wildcats this Friday, September 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the WHS football field.
