Raiders teams seventh and ninth at state XC

The Whitehorse girls' cross country team finished in 7th place at the state meet. The Raiders were led by sophomores Maria Yellowman and Laylah Benally who finished in 17th and 18th place. Yellowman finished the race in 22:34 while Benally finished in 22:50.
Senior Hannah Clark finished in 39th place in a time of 24:21, while freshman Mikey Little was the final scoring runner for Whitehorse. Little finished in 55th place in a time of 26:23.
Sophomore Brandilyn John finished in 72 place in a time of 29:58 while freshman Payton Benn finished 80th in a time of 31:50.
The Whitehorse boys' cross country team finished in 9th place at the state meet. The Raiders were led by senior Ethan Begay who finished in 11th place. Begay ran the 5K in a time of 17:30 just three-one-hundredths behind the 10th-place finisher at the meet.
Fellow senior Elam Etsitty finished in 16th place in a time of 18:07. Sophomore Hyatt Thomas finished in 40th place in a time of 19:44.
The final scoring runner was sophomore Hunter Tsinigine who finished in 71st place in a time of 21:41.
Senior Lance Tsinigine finished in 72nd place in a time of 21:49 with freshman Tyler Duane finishing in 73rd place in a time of 21:59.
Senior Riley Benallie finished in 90th place in a time of 23:17.
