San Juan boys soccer season comes to a close in 2A state first round

The San Juan High School boys soccer season came to a close with a tough 3-0 loss to Beaver this past Friday, April 25 in the first round of the 2A Utah State Tournament.
The Broncos beat Beaver 2-0 on April 10 for their second win of the season, but were unable to break through against the Beavers in their first round matchup on Friday.
San Juan ends the season with a 2-12 record with their wins coming over Beaver and Parowan. They scored 11 goals as a team with sophomore Staley Dandy leading the way with six.
Junior Renton Cardall and sophomore Jace Walker netted two goals apiece this year and junior Kyle Begay rounded out the scoring with one goal. Sophomore Jack Kartchner was credited with the only assist for San Juan this season.
Senior goalkeeper Javin Montella made 137 saves this season for an average of 9.8 stops per game, and he earned one shutout. Wyatt Keith manned the net in one game for the Broncos, making four saves.
