San Juan cheerleaders win divisional category, finish fourth at state
The San Juan High School cheerleading team made history at the Southern Divisionals in Washington, UT on January 18. The team won the All Girl 2A Timeout Dance competition and qualified for the Utah Cheerleading State Competition in all three routines.
It was the first time the team, under the direction of Head Coach Kelby Palmer, accomplished this feat in the now recognized, sanctioned Utah sport.
At the state competition in Orem this past Wednesday, January 22 the Lady Broncos finished second in the Timeout Cheer category and third in the Timeout Dance category.
Coach Palmer is assisted by Rachel Barton Nielson and Savannah Lee. Congratulations to the coaches and cheerleaders on a job well done.
