Coach Ivan Mack: “Marlee has always been driven to succeed in and out of the classroom. When she was a little girl she would run next to me on our family outings at the track. The love of running fast was something ingrained in her from a young age. She has always shown great determination to do well in school and in the different sports she played.
“Marlee had a successful junior year in volleyball and was blessed to take three state titles in the 100-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles, and long jump. She also finished third in the 100 meter. I thank her mom for the genetic potential she received. As her dad, I am very proud of everything she has accomplished and, more importantly, for her prioritizing what’s most important in life outside of athletics and school.”
