Whitehorse football team gets first win of season

The Whitehorse High School football team improved to 1-1 on the season following a 70-12 win over Utah Military Academy - Hill Field on Friday, August 30.
The Raiders traveled nearly 400 miles north to Ogden to take on the Thunderbirds. The first win of the season was a good bounce-back game for Whitehorse, who had suffered a 41-8 loss to St. Joseph in the opening game of the season on August 23.
It’s the inaugural varsity football season for both of the military academies in Utah. After beating the Air Force boys this past weekend, the Raiders will get their first look at the Army boys when they take on Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams this Friday, September 6.
It will be the second long road trip for Whitehorse in as many weeks, this time up to Lehi. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
