Whitehorse gets strong performances at state

The Whitehorse boys finished in 12th place at the boys 1A Utah state track and field meet at BYU on May 15-16.
The Raiders were led by senior Elam Etsitty. Etsitty earned a third place finish in the 400 meter dash and also finished sixth place in the 800 meter run.
The Raiders also earned team points with a sixth place finish in the sprint medley relay. 
Brothers Hunter and Lance Tsinigine ran the 200 meter legs with Hyatt Thomas running the 400 and Etsitty anchoring the team in the 800.
The group also finished 14th in the 4x100 relay. Thomas also finished 17th in the 400.
The Whitehorse girls also earned their team points in the sprint medley relay to lead to a 15th place finish. 
The Raider’s Laylah Benally and Lakyara Begay ran the 200 legs with Maria Yellowman running the 400 and Keiarra Martin anchoring the 800.
Yellowman also finished 11th in the 3200 and 15th in the 1600. Shandiin Roberts finished 14th in the discus and 21st in the shot put, while Martin finished 16th in the 200.
