San Juan junior Branten Bethea gets a hit against North Sevier in Blanding April 30. The Broncos won their 2A state tournament opener against Monticello on May 4 but suffered a loss to Beaver in the second round. The team hosted Parowan on Tuesday, May 7 in one-loss play. With a win the team would continue play in the one-loss bracket needing six more wins to capture the title as the tourney shifts to Orem on May 9. Richard Kaer photo
